ince its creation in 1888, the Boulevard de Garavan has constantly attracted the greats of this world in this heavenly setting in mild winters. Fairy-tale villas were built on what was then called the «Babylonian dream» where gardens and architecture stood in the «French Riviera» dear to the English. Until the Second World War, it was only holidays, luxury and refinement, except in 1914-1918. After the 1939-1945 war, most families sold their property. Many fell into ruin. Antibes and Juan-les-Pins became fashionable to the detriment of Menton.

Towards its middle opens the public park of the Oliviers du Pian, site classified and protected by the Fine Arts administration, which counts six hundred trees aged more than two centuries.
