Cabanon des vignes

The Educational Farm Le Cabanon des Vignes is open every day. Families can discover the wonderful educational farm featuring geese, chickens, peacocks, rabbits, goats, pigs, donkeys… It offers an introduction to typical rural farm animals. The Educational Garden The site, certified organic, is home to olive trees, fruit trees and various crops (wheat, tomatoes, artichokes, zucchinis…) all cultivated according to permaculture principles. Visitors can explore the ecological garden and ask any questions about vegetable gardening, the role of plants and beneficial insects, the value of a worm composter, etc. Reception of School Groups and Social-Medical Institutions Le Cabanon also welcomes schools and social-medical institutions, for which workshops are organized as part of awareness initiatives promoting respect for animals and the environment. Indeed, Le Cabanon des Vignes has become a pilot site within the Sustainable Development School program led by the Sud Sainte Baume Urban Community, and welcomes classes throughout the year. This project enables students to explore topics related to the ecological garden ecosystem, maintenance techniques and expected outcomes. Vineyard Operations The Town of Sanary-sur-Mer has always paid special attention to preserving agriculture in peri-urban areas. For this reason, it entrusted the management of its vineyards to Domaine Ray Jane, certified organic, cultivated in the purest tradition, without chemicals, pesticides or herbicides. This is where “La Cuvée de la Ville de Sanary” was born — a Bandol AOC wine, rosé and white (since 2013) and red since 2015. Available for sale at the Tourist Office, the wine has benefited from organic certification since 2015 following a conversion period.
