With its hundred-year-old trees, its rich palm grove, its lake and the contemporary sculptures spread all around, this botanical garden is not only a real open-air museum ideal for relaxation but also a setting for numerous cultural events.
Many varieties of trees were planted in the 19th century: holm oaks, Holm oaks, Aleppo pines or hackberries, Chile cocopalms and Canary Islands date palms. The lake in the middle of the park is dug out of the sandstone and supplied by a feeder canal taken from the Enclos canal derived from the Gapeau. Today it is the residence of many ducks.
