In 1930, Félix Duperron, an engineer and architect from Digne who had settled in the department, built the Monique chalet on Allée des Dames, not far from La Tapatia, for Joseph Imbert, a partner in Francia Maritima in Mexico City.
The structure, clustered around the central veranda and punctuated by a series of engaged columns, is further distinguished by its Art Deco style, limited to the top fascia.
