The chapel is mentioned for the first time in 1056 in the map of the abbey of Saint-Victor de Marseille. The stone frame of the door is decorated with very interesting geometric designs. It is flanked by a hermitage.
The chapel can be visited on request by contacting the B&B of La Clape just next door.
A monthly mass is said at the chapel as well as a pilgrimage and procession organized on August 15 by the Association for the Safeguarding of the Trigançois Heritage.
