It holds and perpetuates the remembrance of modern wars fighters.
During the 1870 war, the Seyne population promised to erect a chapel dedicated to the Sacred Heart if the soldiers from the valley came back safe and sound. Construction started in 1875 and ended in 1884. It is of modest size, square shaped, with three quarter-sphere vaulted apses making it look like a trefoil medieval chapel. It is covered with an octogonal dome adorned with lead.
