Dedicated to the one who was military architect in the service of King François 1 er of Henry II this Chapel is a gem unknown to our city.
Heavily bruised during the Revolution and then by the time, she comes to benefit from a long restoration under the direction of Historic Monuments. Dating back to the beginning of the 16th century, it is nestled at the foot of the Bell Tower of the collegiate church Saint-Martin, last remnant of the medieval church which collapsed en1818. Of flamboyant Gothic style, it has wealth to discover: a vault "has anti-SAG and tiercerons" of rare in our region where Romanesque architecture is ubiquitous, a beautiful fresco depicting Jean de Renaud with his mortuary helmet surmounted of a Unicorn and red and gold feathers, stained-glass windows bearing the same arms, a slab of marble bearing the epitaph of Jean de Renaud recounting the deeds of his military career.
