Chapelle Sainte Marie Madeleine à Villaudemard

Villaudemard is most probably a carolingian foundation and the name “Audemar” is an anthroponym of germanic origin : it must be a carolingian courtyard or villa with a place of worship. It was apparently deserted during the dark ages, in the 10th century, with the hamlet of Vierard adjoined to Villaudemard by the Napoleonian cadastre.
