Château de Roussan, Route De Tarascon, 13210 Saint-Rémy-de-Provence
This château is located at the western exit from Saint Rémy de Provence, on the road to Tarascon.
Its first known owner was Captain Bertrand de Nostredame, brother of Michel de Nostredame.
The Mas de Roussan was later transformed by Melchior- Jacques de Joanis, (adviser to the King), husband of his grand-daughter Thomine de Nostredame, and became the current château.
The park was redeveloped in the 19th century, using the former Roman aqueduct that brought water from Eygalières to Arles.
The Château de Roussan has become an exceptional tourist hotel, whose clientèle should be respected.
A restaurant is open for lunch and dinner.
