An extraordinary site surrounded by olive groves, built on a narrow rocky outcrop and encircled by a loop of the Var river. Imagine what life was like in this fortress...

Vauban wanted it to be impregnable, but it never surrendered. From the powder magazine to the very contemporary prison cells, the tour plunges you into the secrets and dark corners of the fort.
