Located on the esplanade of the Cuers town hall, on the south side.
In 1964, the association RHIN & DANUBE, on a national level and in agreement with the government, suggested to affix a marble plaque in all the cities and towns crossed by the armies of the Liberation, which would thus remind the future generations of the date of the Liberation of each one. The plaque of Cuers inaugurated on August 17, 1964 carries the following engraving: "THE FIRST FRENCH ARMY COMMANDED BY GENERAL DE LATTRE DE TASSIGNY, FORGED IN AFRICA AND ITALY, DEBARQUEE IN PROVENCE, GROSSED BY THE FRENCH FORCES OF THE INSIDE, LIBERATED CUERS, ON AUGUST 17, 1944, IN ITS VICTORIOUS MARCH TO THE RHINE AND DANUBE".
