To know everything about the olive tree! Behind the door of this former industrial wasteland opens a whole exhibition space. A beautiful tribute to this emblematic tree of the Mediterranean. From mythology to traditional culture, through the production and tasting, a playful and interactive scenography opens the doors to a whole universe.

The olive tree deserved a museum. It is in Volx in the Luberon that it was created.
In an old building where limestone used to be transformed into quicklime, this emblematic tree of the Mediterranean region is honored. Thanks to an attractive scenography composed of videos and carefully chosen objects, we discover its history, biology and culture through the ages. From the use of oil in the manufacture of soaps or as fuel for lamps to culinary practices, the various facets of the importance of the olive tree in our lives are evoked.
Fun and interactive, thanks in particular to quizzes for children, the visit of the ecomuseum offers a fascinating immersion in the universe of this legendary tree.
