Located in the heart of the city, it's more than a sanctuary: it's the soul of the city.
This is one of Manosque's oldest sites, with tombs dating back to the 1st-3rd centuries, and the first Notre Dame church (5th century), rebuilt in the 10th century under the name Notre Dame Romigier.
In the Romanesque chevet, dating from the 10th and 12th centuries, you'll find an early Christian sarcophagus known as the "Anastasis" (resurrection), and one of France's oldest black virgins (10th century).
