Eglise Sainte Marie-Madeleine, 10b avenue Louis Amouriq, 13290 Aix-en-Provence
The first modest building, dedicated to Saint Madeleine, was built between 1696 and 1702, but its expansion is quickly indispensable.
Completed in 1746, it gives it a beautiful coherence, somewhat distorted by the enlargement of the nineteenth century and the weight of years. Today, its square bell tower is surmounted by a campanile while two niches in the bottom of an oven with large sculpted buttocks temper the facade of their curves and rhythm. After the devastating Revolution, Sainte Marie-Madeleine was refurnished with other works from various religious buildings in Aix.
