A true jewel of 18th century Provencal architecture, the Hôtel Estrine was built in 1748 to house the headquarters of the judiciary of the Princes of Monaco.
A former 18th century mansion typical of Provençal architecture, the Estrine Museum exhibits collections of paintings that follow in the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh, whose work was largely inspired by the places and landscapes of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Here, an interpretation center deciphers the influence of the virtuoso on generations of painters fascinated by Provence (Albert Gleizes, Bernard Buffet, André Marchand...). Contemporary artists are regularly honored. So that, according to the wishes of the master, "the living painters are no longer so unjustly ignored".
