It dates from 1867 and in 1900 it is designated as the Windsor Palace Hotel.
The name Regina Palace appeared in 1911 and is described as a 1st order hotel open from September to May. It remained active during the war. During the Italian occupation in 1942, the basement was transformed into an air-raid shelter.
