The fountain is built of ashlar, with seven coping stones assembled with lead-sealed iron crampons.
The basin is supported by a rectangular buffet made up of large pieces of squared stone rubble, joined together with light mortar or grey cement. Spring water accumulates in a hollowed stone overhanging the tank. This rather rare arrangement allows easy access to the back of the distribution cannons and maintains a good flow. Bucket bars allow the buckets to be placed under the single barrel still in operation on the two pre-existing ones.
Then the water flows to the washhouse, which consists of a first tank to rinse the laundry separated by a low wall from the second tank for washing. This part is also made of limestone cut stones, with a washing surface tilted inward to prevent the laundresses from wetting their skirts. The laundresses were protected from the elements by a shed enclosed on two sides, covered with a traditional framework with a farm and quartons on which hollow tiles are placed.
