Requested by the city in the 1980s, the sculptor Jean Amado from Aix, has conceived a fountain built with an original home-made basaltic material.
A sculpture occupies the center of the basin. It's a massive block of basalt cement over which water flows. The sculpture is slightly hollowed out, allowing vegetation to grow around the block.
Besides its artistic character, the water monument allows the diffusion of air into the underground parking area that it overhangs.
