The last remaining example of Belle Epoque architecture, the building that now houses the Bonnard Museum was built in 1908 by M. Lauthaume.
It was used in turn as a hotel, private residence, boarding house and police station, before returning to its hotel activity. The museum's intimate garden opens in the mauve and golden shade of the palms. The view of Le Cannet from the terrace is bathed in the ephemeral luminosity that so attracted the painter.
