Situated in the heart of the city, this town house is one of the most imposing in the city, with its recessed portal and inner courtyard.
Built by Jaubert between 1672 and 1675 from Bibémus stone, the Hôtel Boyer d'Eguilles has two distinctive features: it was built according to the Parisian model, with a carriage courtyard enclosed by a fine gate, and is one of only three Aix hotels to use the colossal order.
The Hôtel d'Estienne-de-St-Jean on rue Saporta and the Hôtel de Grimaldi-Régusse were built according to the same order.
