Built in the style of Parisian hotels of the period, the facades of the Hôtel du Roure (formerly the Hôtel du Roure) still feature all the original, particularly refined ornamentation, as well as most of the interior layout. From the street, you can admire the porch bearing the du Roure family coat of arms, the three wings surrounding the courtyard, the chain-link pattern on the first floor and the elegance of the large windows.

The du Roure family, one of the city's most illustrious, was confirmed as a noble family by letters patent in 1758. An alliance with the Du Laurens family brought them the barony of Beaujeu and the Barbegal estate, which had a significant vineyard by the end of the 19th century. Several family members were prominent in local life, including Henri du Roure (b. 1741), mayor of Arles from 1805 to 1807, and Host Jérôme Scipion, known as Baron du Roure (1858-1924), who was an important regional historian and genealogist. The family's archives have been deposited in the municipal media library's heritage collections. A descendant, Anna, born in 1859, married Count Laforest de Divonne, who bought the family home on rue de la Roquette in 1900, which took his name. Today, the hotel is divided into several apartments.
