10 rue Mazarine, 13100 Aix-en-Provence
In the Mazarin district, in the heart of Aix-en-Provence, the Hôtel de Ribbe is a fragile example of 18th-century Provençal architecture and decorative arts.
The hôtel was built in the very first years of the 18th century for Pierre de Ricard, Seigneur de Saint-Albin, who in 1708 was received President of the Chamber of Investigations of the Parliament of Provence. It is highly representative of the private mansions of the parliamentary nobility.
Take a guided tour of the garden, grand staircase and reception rooms to discover the history of the building and the people who lived there. One of the most well-preserved of these rooms is a drawing room decorated with painted silk panels in very fresh colours (second half of the 18th century), reflecting a taste for the art of chinoiserie.
Since July 1991 it has been listed as a Historic Monument in its entirety, including its garden. It is also known as the Hôtel Ricard de Saint-Albin, after its patron.

For tours, groups may not exceed 17 people.
