The Caladat cross:
Erected in 1825 in the centre of the village after a jubilee, it was restored in 1851. The wind had carved the column artistically. In 2002, it was damaged and replaced by a new column.

Charloun - The peasant poet was born a stone's throw from the small stone square, hence the name caladat. He wrote a song: O moun bèu Caladat, roudelet de mi rèire
I'an pica dou martèu en estènt manescau... Oh my beautiful Caladat, little company in which my ancestors who were blacksmiths struck the hammer...
The song ends with the verses engraved on the plaque: Lou jour que faudra que m'embarque Le jour où il faudra que je m'embarque Dins li païs incouneigu pour les pays inconnus Qu'au Caladat moun noum se marque, que l'on inscrive mon nom au Caladat Car es aqui que siéu nascu. car c'est là que je suis né.
