On his way back to Paris, Napoleon 1st stopped off at the Logis du Pin inn on March 3, 1815. You can admire the Napoleonic totem, designed by Ivan Coste-Manière, in front of the La Martre - Artuby Tourist Information Center.
It was here, at the foot of the old inn, that the first totem pole of the Côte d'Azur section of the Route Napoléon was inaugurated on July 10, 2024.
This highly symbolic signage project, supported by ANERN, will standardize the route taken by the Emperor in 1815, linking the 42 communes where the Emperor stayed before returning to conquer Paris.
A route that has become legendary.
