The Bòri is a traditional dry stone construction that served as a temporary shelter during periods of agricultural work. It dates back to the end of the 19th century.
It became communal in 1999 and was restored in 2004 and 2005. A lime binder and a coating were reused during its restoration: it is one of its singularities.
Alone in the commune of Manosque, the Bòri known as "Pain de Sucre" (Sugar Loaf) by its shape,
is remarkable by its construction, its location and the landscape it offers to the contemplation.
Inside, a chimney made it possible to cook food and, if necessary, to heat oneself; a slit let the air necessary for the combustion pass. A second level, which has not been restored, could be used for sleeping or storing crops.  The cellar kept food and crops cool.
