The Vauban citadel, overlooking Seyne, bears witness to the history of the valley since the 17th century.
Because of their strategic position and function, the Alps were an important area of intervention for Vauban. Like many other forts, the site of Seyne-les-Alpes has retained the imprint of this famous builder of Louis XIV. Now in ruins, this stronghold tells a whole part of its history with stones.
