Nestled between sea and history, this natural port is a true invitation to travel. Fortified in 1550 by the Dukes of Savoy, it became "Port Royal" in 1713, when they acceded to the throne of Sardinia.
Over the course of the 18th century, the site was transformed: a lighthouse was built, followed by a dry dock, an arsenal and a forge, testifying to intense maritime activity.
Nowadays, the port has been turned towards yachting, but its authenticity has been preserved. Classified as a Historic Monument since 1990, the Port Royal de la Darse offers a timeless promenade, where every stone tells the story of the past and the sea accompanies every discovery.
