The small town of Meyrargues is 14 kilometres north of Aix-en-Provence. With an area of 4167 hectares and an altitude of 235 meters, the commune has a population of 3850 inhabitants.

Meyrargues is a hillside village. It dominates the Durance Valley between the Luberon mountain and its vast forest area of Ligourès which extends to the Sainte-Victoire mountain. Meyrargues has preserved all the beauty of its environment and its remarkable fauna.
Its 10th century castle dominates the village from the top of a rock.

In a valley behind the castle, taking the road to the cemetery, you can see the remains of an ancient Roman aqueduct that once served the city of Aix in Provence. This valley is also the starting point for many hikes.

The "Discovering the Heritage Between Nature and History" tour with the orientation table at the top of St Claude's Hill allows visitors to embrace a breathtaking 360-degree panorama.
