Created in 2021, "Les Jardins de Vives-Eaux" (under association status), are a place of sharing and exchange, awareness of environmental protection, and education in the preservation of biodiversity (plants, animals).
A botanical garden of aromatic and medicinal plants, dedicated to the discovery of plant species used in traditional medicine, but also of the local flora (Eastern Luberon), was planted on a private plot of 1300m2, to serve as a framework for this transmission of knowledge and know-how. It has been labeled "Refuge LPO", 1st network of ecological gardens in France.
A specialized library and bookshop "Nature & Biodiversity" offers everyone, adults and children, books and journals about environment, botany, zoology, entomology, ornithology, gardening and organic farming, etc.
Permanent and temporary exhibitions, educational activities, workshops, conferences and readings are offered on these themes throughout the year.
