You can admire the monumental staircase, a rich gallery of donations. A superb media library combining modernity and ancient works of art. A unique place not to be missed, which from the 20th of April 2024 will be enriched by a large Museum featuring :
-A temporary exhibition gallery to offer a fresh perspective on the collections of Carpentras, as well as those from elsewhere.
-A series of permanent exhibitions (evoking the history of Carpentras and the Comtat, the papal state, etc.).
-A Fine Arts gallery (from the initial collections of Mgr d'Inguimbert, featuring portrait art, landscapes, genre scenes, and Orientalism...).
-For researchers, reserves and a consultation room.
-Occasionally, visits to the Baroque Chapel.
This edifice, a pure example of 18th century architecture, houses a collection of works belonging to Monseigneur of Inguimbert. See The monumental staircase, an extensive collection of artwork. The Hôtel-Dieu is now a beautiful library-Museum called L'Inguimbertine.
The collection of 18th century pharmacy paraphernalia can't be visited at this moment.
