Discover Camargue rice-growing in a dedicated educational area. You'll be welcomed by a family of passionate rice growers.
The Maison du Riz is an educational place that tells the story of the evolution of rice-growing from its beginnings in the Camargue to the present day. Three areas have been created: an area devoted to specific rice-growing equipment, an area dedicated to the rice grain and its various stages of processing, and a store area. Passionate rice growers, the Roziere family will be delighted to welcome you. Accessible for disabled

First and foremost, it's a family story, that of the Rozière family, whose name was predestined to have its feet in the water of a rice field. For several generations, they have farmed 500 hectares of Camargue land.
To share their passion, they have created an educational museum. The museum features equipment specific to rice-growing. The various stages in the post-harvest processing of rice are explained through visuals, machinery and demonstrations. Depending on the time of year, a visit to a small rice field close to the building provides an insight into this very specific crop. Finally, there's a store selling souvenirs to take home with you.
After this visit, you'll never look at a grain of rice in the same way again.
