- A former Château d'Avignon farm, Mas de la Cure is a precious witness to the history of Camargue agriculture, both in terms of traditional activities and the techniques used over the years.
With 3,000 m² of buildings, 2,000 m² of cellar housing ceramic vats and huge oak casks, and a unique, high-performance irrigation system (still in operation today), this model farm is dedicated to preserving heritage and biodiversity.
Today owned by the Conservatoire du Littoral et des Rivages Lacustres, it is home to the Maison du Cheval Camargue, which works to safeguard the breed. A guided tour of the manade reveals all its secrets and sheds a brilliant light on this emblematic breed.
