Read moreShow less
Built in the early 18th century, this flour mill uses water drawn from a mine upstream from the village. A reservoir, "Le Pesquier", fed by surplus water from the village fountain, serves as a lock. The mill's turbine is horizontal with a vertical axis. It is driven by a waterfall. Water from the tailrace canal irrigates the large meadows and feeds the Vallefont mill located downstream.
The mill will be open for events such as heritage discovery rallies, the European Heritage Days and the village fête.
