The Gassendi Museum offers encyclopaedic collections in the field of art, local history and physical and natural sciences.

For 20 years, the Gassendi Museum has been developing a collection of contemporary art in the middle of nature. It includes, among others, the famous art refuges of the British artist Andy Goldsworthy. Visitors are invited to discover these works along "art trails", where the in situ creations become one with the surrounding landscapes. They also create a dialogue with the permanent intramural collection of the Gassendi Museum, conceived as a cabinet of curiosities where the improbable encounter between art and science, the ancient and the contemporary, takes place.
