The Château Grimaldi became the "Picasso Museum" on 27 December 1966. Picasso stayed there from mid-September to mid-November 1946 and produced many works. He left 23 paintings and 44 drawings in trust to the town of Antibes.

Located in the heart of the old town of Antibes and overlooking the sea, the former Grimaldi castle, now the Picasso Museum, houses a collection of works created on site by the master in the fall of 1946 and enriched over the years.
