The Estienne de Saint-Jean private mansion, which become the museum of old Aix in 1932, is the town's history museum.
The Musée du Vieil Aix can be visited like turning the pages of a book... The collections resulting from the donations of Marie Estienne de Saint-Jean are exhibited in the salons of the eponymous hotel. In this elegant setting, each piece is an evocation of the past and local traditions, a little of the life of the people of Aix in the past. Furniture, earthenware, santons, paintings and other unusual pieces (don't miss the talking crib!) line the route.
