In the heart of a landscaped garden in the port du Niel, a 1962 villa houses part of Jean-Noël Drouin's painting collection, after two years of renovation.
In the natural site of the port of Niel on the peninsula of Giens, the museum opened this summer 2023. Dedicated to non-figuration and abstraction in France, nearly 80 artists are represented, including Hans Hartung, Henri Michaux, Jean-Paul Riopelle, Pierre Soulages and Claude Viallat. A villa built in 1962 was chosen to show this private collection to the public, which is welcome from June to September. The layout of the exterior spaces offers exceptional views of the sea, facing the island of Porquerolles.
