The Barcelonnette Mercantour Observatory is a unique centre for discovering astronomy and nocturnal biodiversity, located in an International Dark Sky Reserve.

Certified as a Night Station by the French Astronomy Association, our main mission is to make astronomy accessible to everyone. The Barcelonnette Mercantour Observatory is a facility designed to welcome the general public as well as school groups, organised groups, amateurs and anyone wishing to learn about and discover astronomy in an accessible way. Throughout the year, the observatory organises training courses, introductory courses and advanced courses.
