




This Chapel is dedicated to Saint Eloi, a saint very well known on the territory of the country of Arles, the boss of the "household", small owners.The oratory was built in the nineteenth century (1859) and marked, to the South, the city limits.He still plays an important role in the course of the feast of saint Eloi, since it is the crossing point of the cart and the Carters during the preparations and the party itself. The 1st Sunday in December, the brotherhood celebrates at the foot of this oratory Saint Eloi winter.Between religious symbols and landscaped lairs, oratories are erected to thank a saint to have granted a wish to protect the inhabitants against epidemics.It consists of a moulded cippus, which rests on a base. The niche is semicircular protected by a grid. It is surrounded by fluted columns, topped by a roof with two slopes. The pediment is triangular. On the top of the roof, there is a small metal cross. You will see the statue of saint Eloi.
