L'oratoire Saint-Jean a été érigé en 1925 suite à un vœu pour le retour des fils à la guerre.
Oratories, whose name comes from the Latin words "orare" (to pray) and "oratorio" (to meditate), are part of the vernacular heritage. These small religious monuments are found mainly in rural areas, where pilgrims and peasants could meditate on their way to the fields without going to church. They are dedicated to a saint or the Virgin Mary in thanksgiving for a granted wish, out of devotion or in search of protection.
