Holy Virgin: is known as the Virgin Mary who is the mother of Christ.
She is celebrated on August 15 during the feast of the Assumption.
Saint Bernadette: Bernadette Soubirous born in Lourdes in 1846 died in 1879. She witnessed 18 apparitions of the Virgin Mary between February and July 1858 in the grotto of Massa Bielle in Lourdes.
During her 9th apparition, Bernadette followed the indications of the Virgin and discovered a source of water. She chose the congregation of the Sisters of Charity.
She will carry in her being a deep solidarity with the poorest. She is the saint of the poor and of charity.
She was beatified on June 1925 and canonized on December 8, 1933.
