The Paléogalerie universe is avant-gardiste on how work with stones used to be. Between a museum and an art galery, Paléogalerie is an exceptionnal exhibition of fossils from Provence. Come and discover all sorts of creatures that lived under your feet a 100 million years back.

New exhibition: DINOSAURS, new discoveries in the Sisterone region.
More than 100 million years ago, the Tethys Ocean covered Provence.
On rare islands, among plants from another era, dinosaurs...
Representatives of four major families, all discovered locally, are presented in this
exhibition.
Titanosaurs: peaceful giant herbivores with long necks; Ankylosaurs: veritable Cretaceous armour protected by 400 plates of bony armour; and finally the theropods: large bipedal predators, including an almost complete baby dinosaur that could be one of the closest representatives of the Tyrannosaurus family ever found.

Follow the ultimate journey of these animals from another era, collected by the ocean, and the miracle of their fossilisation from the terrestrial palaeo-environments where they lived to the
marine environments where they were deposited...
