The displays in the three exhibition rooms were made possible by donations from Mouans-Sartoux families, collected over a period of years by the city’s Centre d’Activités Culturelles Occitanes (Occitan cultural activity center).
In the largest display room, there is a reassembled oil mill surrounded by a variety of objects related to oil, olive trees, and winegrowing, which were the traditional economic activities in Mouans-Sartoux at that time.
Another room features flower and perfume-plant crops as the theme. Large posters illustrate each activity, created from enlargements of photos loaned by the people of Mouans-Sartoux. The third room presents a reconstituted period kitchen and bedroom, with tools and utensils used in the various trades of early last century.
The museum is open daily and admission is free.
