The Villa Pardigon, built between 20 and 40 AD, covers 3,500 m2. It was one of the largest Roman maritime villas on the Gallic coast. Between 6,000 and 8,000 soldiers of the legion of Octavian, nephew of Julius Caesar, occupied the site before it was handed over to one of the leaders of this legion. The villa grew over the years (1st, 2nd and 4th and 5th centuries).
