It consists of a sparsely populated farm constituent hamlets without heart clustered around a parish church as is often the case in Provence. An important Gallo-Roman necropolis discovered southeast of its territory certifies an ancient occupation. A beautiful marble sarcophagus dated from the fourth century was found in St. Peter's Chapel and Museum is exposed to Apt.
