





The EDF dam and hydroelectric power station: an exceptional industrial heritage! It is one of the largest earthen hydroelectric dams in Europe. It impresses by its size: 123 m high, 600 m wide and 650 m thick!
Built from 1955, the dam and the hydroelectric power station EDF of Serre-Ponçon are located at the confluence of Ubaye and Durance rivers. The dam secures the water management of the whole Provence. The visit proposes a multimedia space, the discovery of the engine room and an external path with a breathtaking view on the lake.
