The ancient Lascaris Castle. The surroundings are characterized by terraces grounds and majestics mountains.
Built in the 14th century, it is said that Beatrice Lascaris lived here, and the street at the foot of the walls now bears her name.
The château was destroyed in 1692 by Louis XIV's troops during the Nine Years' War.
In the 19th century, the former courtyard and its outbuildings became the cemetery, home to the tomb of C. Bicknell, one of the discoverers of the Merveilles engravings.
The panoramic view over the lauze roofs, typical of the Roya region, also gives you a glimpse of the peaks as far as the Marguareis massif, the last natural ramparts before the Italian "Valle Pesio".
