Discover the Tour of Grimaud known as the Tour of Grimaldi, dating from the 12th or 13th century, a Saracen-type tower with a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the massifs of the region, from Sainte-Victoire to the Esterel.
The tower of Grimaldi has two doors and arrow windows or slits. It was accessed from the first floor by means of a ladder which was then removed. The ladder was used to go down to the ground floor through a trap door and also to access the upper floors. The ground floor was used as a warehouse for food supplies, and due to lightning damage, the corner stones at the top of the tower were in danger of collapsing. It was restored in 2018.
