Alembic, grindstone and roller
The alembic Making lavender essence is theoretically very simple. All you need to do is distil lavender flowers and therefore have lavender and water vapour available. Distilling consists of cooling the water and collecting the lavender essence. The heat necessary to obtain steam was provided by the combustion of the already distilled lavender. The alembics of Les Salles were ecological models; they had found a preferred location along the watering channel. The roller On the "areas" the roller crushed the wheat and separated the straw from the wheat grains. The millstone In the mill, the millstone was used to obtain flour by crushing the wheat grains.
