Built in 1931 for Émile Léautaud, a former merchant in Mexico City, it imitates the house known as Chalet Monique, built by the architect Félix Duperron from Digne. For this simplified version, the client decided not to hire an architect.
The villa follows the architectural design of Chalet Monique, but with a reduction and simplification of the decorative style. The veranda on the south façade is covered by a terrace forming a front section. The masonry of the base is made of squared rubble stone with corner chains of cut stone, while that of the upper floors is covered with plaster.
It is currently the headquarters of the Compagnie Générale des Eaux.
